【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsfordesignandconstructionoftestingsievesusingamediumofwovenwireclothmountedinaframeforuseintestingfortheclassificationofmaterialsaccordingtodesignatedparticlesize(SeeNote1andNote2),andwirecloth,meetingthespecificationsof,tobedesignatedtestgradewirecloth.Allsubsequentreferencestowireclothshallmeantestgradewirecloth.Methodsforcheckingtestingsievesandwireclothforconformancetothisspecificationareincludedintheannex.Note1--CompleteinstructionsandproceduresontheuseandcalibrationoftestingsievesarecontainedinASTMSTP447B.Notethatsieveanalysisresultsfromtwotestingsievesofthesamesievedesignationmaynotbethesamebecauseofthevariancesinsieveopeningpermittedbythisspecification.Tominimizethedifferencesinsieveanalysisresults,theuseoftestingsievesmatchedonaperformancebasisissuggested.ASTMSTP447BalsocontainsalistofallpublishedASTMstandardsonsieveanalysisproceduresforspecificmaterialsorindustries.Thislistmaybereferencedtoobtainstatementsofprecisionandbiasforsieveanalysisofspecificmaterials.Note2--Forothertypesofsieves,seeSpecificationE323andSpecificationE161.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallbeconsideredstandardforthedimensionsofthewireclothopeningsandthediameterofthewiresusedinthewirecloth.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsshallbeconsideredstandardwithregardtothesieveframes.1.3Thefollowingprecautionarystatementrefersonlytothetestmethodportion,AnnexA1,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
