【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminesthehydrolyzablechlorinecontentoftoluene-2,4-diisocyanate,toluene-2,6-diisocyanate,ormixturesofthetwo.Thistestmethodmayalsobeappliedtootherisocyanatesofsuitablesolubility.(SeeNote0.)Themainsourcesofhydrolyzablechlorineintheisocyanatesarecarbamoylchlorideanddissolvedphosgene.Bothofthesecompoundsreactwithalcoholsandwater,formingureas,carbamates,carbondioxide,andhydrochloricacid.(SeeNote2.)Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1Thistestmethodmaybeapplicablewithcrudepolymericisocyanates.However,theprecisionwithcrudepolymericisocyanateshasnotbeenestablished.Note2ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.
